Why Choose SyncUp Over Scener?
Scener focuses on streaming services like Netflix and HBO but requires an extension and account for everything. SyncUp works instantly for YouTube, Twitch, Kick, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music - and offers streaming support too.
Free To Use
The basics stay free. Optional Plus plan if you want bigger rooms or longer voice chat.
Beyond Streaming Services
YouTube, Twitch, Kick, SoundCloud, YouTube Music built-in. Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, and other streaming services via free extension.
No Account Needed
Create watch party rooms instantly. No sign-up or account required.
Works on Mobile
Watch parties on any device. Scener needs a desktop and Chrome to host.
Built For Groups
Free rooms hold up to 5 people. Plus rooms hold up to 50, and one Plus user lifts the cap for everyone in the room.
Privacy First
Private rooms by default. Only people with your code can join.
Want Streaming Service Support?
Install the free SyncUp extension to watch Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and other DRM-protected streaming services together. Works on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, and Brave.

Why use SyncUp instead of Scener?
SyncUp works directly in your browser for YouTube, Twitch, Kick, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music without any extension. The basics are free and no account is required. There's an optional Plus plan if you want bigger rooms or longer voice chat. Scener focuses on streaming services and requires both an extension and an account.
Is SyncUp really free?
Yes. The basics are free: rooms, sync, chat, playlist voting, friends, watching YouTube, Twitch, Kick, SoundCloud and YouTube Music. Free rooms hold up to 5 people. There's an optional Plus plan if you want bigger rooms or longer voice chat, but you don't need it.
Does SyncUp support streaming services?
Yes! With the free SyncUp browser extension, you can watch Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, and more together. The extension is available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, and Brave.
Do I need an account?
No - create and join watch party rooms instantly. No sign-up required. You can optionally create an account to save your preferences.
Can I use SyncUp on mobile?
Yes! SyncUp is fully optimized for mobile browsers. Watch YouTube, Twitch, Kick, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music together on your phone or tablet.
How many people can join a watch party?
Free rooms hold up to 5 people. If anyone in the room has Plus, the cap goes up to 50 for everyone in that room, so one Plus user can host a bigger group without the rest needing to subscribe.
